NATIVE CREATURES OF CAMBODIA

A mural for The Canadian International School of Phnom Penh and Banteay Srey Eco-Zone.

This is the tallest wall I've painted in my career to date - 9.95m high by 4.95m across. When CIS offered me this great opportunity I knew the focus of the piece would be on highlighting the incredible variety of wildlife living here in Cambodia, ranging from the mighty water buffalo to the endangerd white-shouldered Ibis. Many were shocked when told that all the animals depicted in the mural are native species to Cambodia. This is what I want to help become common knowledge through my work. Cambodia has a rich ecosystem that often we feel removed from living in towns and cities. By building awareness I hope to encourage CIS students and anyone that sees the mural to inquire, learn about and care for the nature that remains in this beautiful country. Every creature here deserves our respect.

I hope this piece does them justice.
